I have worked with the magic eye tubes before, luckily I own a power supply that provided 6.3 v and up to 300 volts lol, I did not have the board they show. I even have those on a Chinese amp I bought for $10 and repaired. Combination amp and DAC with magic eye tubes. I have worked to improve the sound but it is far from where I need it to be to listen for more than a minute.

I find it funny that a lot of people like putting blue LEDs under their tubes. What about the "warm tubey glow"?

I know lol, and it cuts down on the magic eye tube effect. Heck at least use orange LED's so it looks more natural lol.

If you're going to spring for the S5s then you might as well get a nice external crossover.

I come to this thread to get the latest news on Schiit offerings and instead I have to wade through page after page of boomers talking about toobz, pictures of cats and general schiitposting.
