Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Which GRs?
Speakers are SVS Ultra Bookshelves that I just upgraded with the GR crossovers. I won't say that it was a fun project because I kind of suck at soldering and am elictrically challenged at best, but the results were well worth the effort and I am very happy with the sound now.

New gear day. The Lyr shipped two days after placing the order.

Finally! Black Lyr 3... Do I want to "upgrade" mine to black? Hmmm.....

ArmChairPhilosopher - the pattern of holes on the Lokius was mentioned very early on and everyone else appreciates them as well.

My Modius doesn't look brushed at all where as my Lyr 3 and Vidar do. I'm hoping when I upgrade to a Bifrost 2 that it will better match the other pieces.

How come that nobody noticed that Lokius' vent holes aren't just perfectly aligned with the knobs, but that the holes are also designed to look like six EQ bars?
Reminds me of how the Drop THX AAA 789 amp's vent holes are a nod to the Golden Gate bridge since Drop's HQ is in San Francisco.

Though both are less of a flex than the heatsinks on some Pathos amps.

Those EQ bars, the levels they show. Are they just random, or is that a snapshot of someone's favorite passage of their favorite song!? 😄
Or… are those bars a hint, pointing out knob positions for us to reach pure audio bliss?!
It's where it sounds the best and measures the worst.

Yep, those Pathos amps cost about what I thought they'd cost.

isnt the Lokius in flat aluminum? (or whatever the word is, the newer style)
You're probably right @Lvivske . All I do know is, it's not black. . It's still in its box, along with most of my audio gear- Yggy, Freya S, Phono stage, Turntable ( silver Technics SL1200G) and speakers, while I make do with a secondary system, which is Schiitless!
My brand new turntable, phono stage and Lokius have never been used.
Looking forward to getting the 'main' system set up with all that Schiit, but it could be several months away due to building work.

But is a Schiitless life even worth getting out of bed each morning? 🤔

Credit where credit it due.

I received a new Vali 2+ a few weeks ago. It came with a fairly substantial scratch on the volume knob. At first, I thought it wouldn't bother me because, let's face it, everything I've ever received from Schiit has always had at least one cosmetic blemish, so I decided to try to not let it bother me. Well, it did. It did to the point I finally emailed Schiit and asked it if was a reasonable request to be sent a new knob I could install myself. Before I even got a personal reply, I had a shipping notification. A few minutes later, a personal email. So, there you have it. Very happy with the outcome. Now it makes me wonder if I should have emailed earlier with my other six pieces of Schiit that all had blemishes....
