Interesting. How's that a "passive" pre-amp? It has a 5V / 200 mA power input. Also Autoformer Volume Control (AVC)? Never heard of them. Is it me or 1,600 euros seem like overkill for a passive pre-amp?

Lot's of mastering houses use Manley gear. The weird/odd thing is, not so much for the features. It's more about the sound. They do a pass-through transfer, using their Manley gear, to get it's coloration. Also to use it to normalize the waveform. But, great features too, when needed.
