Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

@Paladin79 What? No money up front? No down payment?

Yeah I would need a retainer plus a quad of 300B tubes then and only then would I consider building Bill an amp. $5,000 up front would allow me to buy a resistor or two, maybe even an audio rated volume pot, just one though, this is going to be a very spartan build. No VU meters either, they would just confuse him anyway. I do have a bunch of left over GE tubes from the @bcowen 6sn7 tube challenge, a couple have a little life in them and the whole "matched tube" thing is probably overrated so I will just randomly pick two of them for his amp. GE, Ken-Rad VT 231 black glass, practically the same tube give or take an octave or so.

Sounds about right for a custom build.

I would have to charge enough to cover the stress and mental anguish of dealing with such a guy. In a couple years he might start to ask where his amp is and I will have to buy something like this and a can of black spray paint and pay shipping to get it to him.

I could slap one of my logos on it, it might keep him busy staring at it so he does not notice the tubes I substituted. logo.jpg

Well it is all about your likes and dislikes, and I have to admit the purple does seem to go nicely with silver or black.

My Man!!

I did buy the new Hel...I would love to see it in a Purple color schema instead of red... =)
I have one on the way and I may make interconnect cables to match. I like red and black as well.FCBDB672-7943-49D3-9CC5-9C9646922341.jpeg

Now that's a very nice steampunk logo indeed.

I am busy setting up for the coming Schiit-meet.
That is to say... I'm training Constanza for the invasion of more than 2 persons at once.
I'm tweaking the hell out of my 2-ch system to get it up to the ups for the hp addicts so maybe I can swing a few votes there.

need to add a Hel somewhere in the mix. you can then send the non-color-conforming blue and yellow cables to me :)
I will get right on that.

I like choices, drives my wife crazy. I have been known to pack eight shirts for a weekend getaway, then there are belts, and shoes and chronographs and....
