1. Incorporation into a new Modi Multibit
2. Incorporation into a new Gumby, Jr. (Gumby in a Bifrost enclosure to match Lyr 3. If I post it enough, maybe it'll happen).
3. A PCI USB card for PC with the new Schitt USB chipset.

I never thought I would be excited by anything USB, and now exciting USB Schiit is happening.
To hear both of their descriptions of the SQ improvement is very surprising. This is a huge deal, and being USB it's still USB compliant for maximum compatibility.
More brilliant Schiit for sure :p

Here is my real life testimonial. I know cables matter, that having been said, the cable connecting my ethernet and my USB are straight out of the Monoprice stable--nothing fancy or "audiophile". I have a RasPi/DigiOne SPDIF transport, HFC CT-2 Helix SPDIF into a Gumby by BNC. And I have the USB plugged into the Gumby with Gen5. Monoprice USB cable just likes for the printer and the other USB devices.

Folks, I honestly cannot tell a significant difference. SPDIF and current Schiit USB are too close to call-- Like Florida--2000 Presidential results, close.

That is to say, if Schiit's own USB-protocol improves upon Gen5, I might have to let the Affordable Audiophile buy some upgraded Ethernet and USB cables.
And I have found the convenience of the DAC in SPROUT100, that it is just easier to flip it on and direct my Audacious to the SPROUT100.

It is weird because I can go back and forth between Gumby/SPDIF, Gumby Gen5. and PS Audio SPROUT100 Digital, and even with the Audio-Tecnica headphones, I am not hearing enough difference--right now--to justify a comment.
Therefore, when the Schiit USB hits the scene, I am expecting Unicorns farting rainbows...
