The Modi 3 only needs 5W — can be powered from computer USB.

You might be confusing wattage with voltage. USB 2 is rated at 500 milliamperes. Current times voltage equals 2.5 Watts. USB 2 puts out 5 volts.

That makes sense, although Apple describes it as 5W: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD810LL/A/apple-5w-usb-power-adapter
In any case, there would have been no reason for Jason to test the Apple 12W.

To summarize: it would be a $19 expense for the $99 Modi, Jason says it made no difference in their tests, and the reviews on the Apple product page cast doubt on its reliability.

I was referring to a computer usb. There are power adapters with 3 amp or more thus 15 watt capability. The Apple adapter is an example.

In Germany they are smart enough to have a whole month to celebrate Bier

A view from the distant past of a treasured brewery, since closed. They served only their own beer, but other spirits as well.

The owner was getting way up in age, and a capital-equity-firm owning friend convinced him that it would be in good hands with him, so he sold it. And the rest is history.

Reminds me of my old haunt, closed in 2016. The 75th Street Brewery in Kansas City. They were the first brew-pub in KC.

Shot on the day before they closed their doors forever. :sob:

(They sold out to the business next door, who subsequently turned the brewery into some black-and-chrome "gourmet" Ramon noodle eatery thing. smh.) :rage:
