Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Have you thought of a nice wide elastic band to put around both connectors so it puts a reasonable amount of side pressure on them? Maybe this will be enough friction to keep them from dislodging. There's stress from gravity there already, don't see how this could hurt. Also maybe something under them. This could be attached under the switch box and incorporated with the elastic band idea....
It has to be something like that indeed.
Thanks for the input.
Maybe I will try some LockTight.

LOL. Use the red :darthsmile:kind, not the blue even though what spills out will match!

Kidding if course....

I think locktite has a different skin effect for electrons than perfect surface copper.

You might try a dab of clear bathtub calk at the top of the join (after the connector is inserted and supported temporarily to allow the calk to dry overnite).
It's a plastic resin of some sort (I think) and easy to remove with your fingers or a small plastic blade.
The shame is that you should have to do anything at all at that price.

If you use Gospel music, do you make Virgin Mary toast?

Oh yes of course.
They where the ones that directed me to the AQ helpdesk in the first place.
Couldn't take the cables back because more than 1 month old etc.
And.. They too claimed there's something wrong on my side.
There you go.
"Van het kastje naar de muur gestuurd" we say here.
Sent from the cupboard to the wall.
As you can see there's nothing strange with "my side" of the connectors.

There is something wrong on your side: you insist on using audioquest cables with audioquest connectors without something to keep them in place. How dare you?
Maybe you'll try something like this: http://www.mca-midwest.com/stcableclip.html

Interesting wire. Much diff between the 12 and the 16 awg versions? (there is certainly a cost diff)

the 12 AWG has two and a half times as much copper (?)

There certainly is a lot more wire with the DCA12GA. If my speakers were less efficient I would probably get the DCA12GA. But, with them being 96 dB efficient the DCA16GA is just fine.
