Ooooff. And I suggest cutting back on the margaritas just a tad. You don't have to drink all of them in your first month of retirement. :unamused:

I mention it only out of concern for your health. And your sanity. And your wife. And your dog. And your socks. And your Barbies.

Maybe not the exact order I bought them but quite a range of genres:

1) Bennie Maupin - The Jewel in the Lotus reissue (new vinyl)
2) Herbie Hancock - V.S.O.P. <- that is awful kerning, eh? (used vinyl)
3) Wes Montgomery - A Day in the Life (used vinyl)
4) Milt Jackson - Sunflower (used vinyl)
5) Arushi Jain - Delight (Japan-only CD imported)
6) Circuit Des Yeux - Halo on the Inside (Bandcamp dl)
7) Work Money Death - People of the Fast Flowing River (Bandcamp dl)
8) Akvan - سووشون (Bandcamp CD/dl) Iranian black metal
9) Sumac & Moor Mother - The Film (new vinyl)
10) Steven Wilson - Grace For Drowning & The Raven That Refused to Sing (Qobuz dl)
Bonus 11) Shostakovich - The Complete Symphonies Naxos | Royal Liverpool Phil. Orch. | Vasily Petrenko (Qobuz dl) Arguably the best full set of Shosty symphonies recorded and it is cheap as chopsticks on Qobuz

Bonus 11) Shostakovich - The Complete Symphonies Naxos | Royal Liverpool Phil. Orch. | Vasily Petrenko

+1 for the Shostakovich Symphonies, Petrenko, Naxos

Many of you will know that Shostakovich's larger orchestral works were subject to censorship. One can get a more intimate view from his chamber music. For those of you obsessed enough to go there, I recommend

Complete Set of the string quartets
Pacifica Quartet, “The Soviet Experience"
Cedille Box 1003 2014 Marvelous recordings!

Noah...and yes for most of you YMWV!

Great recommendation. Thanks!

And yes, one comes for his symphonies but one stays for the chamber music. :)

@Paladin79 Good grief! I've think you've had enough storms already this season! Hope at minimum you can garner more fine wood out of this last storm.

You might want an adult beverage before the meeting to stay mellow
It is at 3 PM so that is feasible, originally it was supposed to be at 9:30 AM and I hate to drink during breakfast.😜

And if I'm allowed a bonus selection like @sixergixer there's one more Shostakovich recently bought, Boston Symphony (Andris Nelsons) w/Opolais, Gunnell, Grossböck, Hoare - Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk District (Qobuz dl).

(Yeah, I've mentioned it before, I'm a fan.)

...

Or, my brunch favorite, champagne.

Speaking of automobile oddities, I was looking for a new vehicle for my wife, and noted that at one dealer all the cars had a $2995 Dealer Installed option, so I asked "What is this?". Turns out it is a bunch of useless stuff like nitrogen in the tires, tints, etc., but the big ticket item that the salesman was proud of was the "20 year/100,000 mile non-transferable extended warranty". When I told him that all of that was useless and I had no intention of paying for it he asked why, and I said "Are you brain dead? How old do you think I am? [I will be 82 in July] ". I still  don't think that he understood.
You really need that TruCoat
