I have liked the horizon series. I retubed my Cronus Magnum with all Horizon tubes. Used EL34 for the power tubes (instead of kt88) because I like the EL34 tubes. They sound great.
With 6SN7s, NOS is king still. I'd only go for 6CG7 for new production since they sound much better than new production 6SN7s and on par with some NOS 6SN7 IMHO
Okay, when y'all say 'delay', is that like inserting an artificial gap between tracks? Because I hate -- nay, abhor -- gapped playback and this issue would stop me from buying an Yggy (or any DAC) if this delay is what I think it is.
Woke up in middle of night with wicked jet lag after getting back from Hong Kong (amazing audio city - never will I ever again spend 3 hours demo’ing headphone cables with a supportive salesperson, who in the end was like “yeah, not really worth it, right?” and be so happy! I can’t recommend spending time in Mong Kok enough if you want your next pair of cans and want to seriously listen before purchasing. Same goes goes for DAPs etc, though they f don’t sell Schiit… yet!)
Music to love getting through the jet lag…
(Undercurrent by Bill Evans and Jim Hall, a fabulous album by any regards, but made for this moment. If I’m not asleep before, Ballads by the John Coltrane Quartet is queued up after)

Only if/where the sample rate changes, so no this should not have any effect on gapless playback where gapless should exist.
eg. playing through DSOTM would not have sample rate changes as the album played, unless you have cobbled together a playlist of different tracks with varying rates
I'll throw my hat in the ring of "recently moved and now re-organizing all the stuff (whose stuff is this?) that got disgorged from the Pod."
However, my report is going to focus on my new listening room. Jason has spoken eloquently of 'nervosa,' - "Should I get Canary cables or Blender cables?" "Do I need to upgrade my YGGY, again?" "Is Vidar fine or do I step up to Wotan or a pair of Tyr's?" {<- one of these options is a likely YES down the road}" And so forth.
My listening room has given me two key changes- I can sit further back from my speakers, and I have a stairwell behind the couch which is up against the stairwell railing. In my old house an architectural wall which divided the LR from the kitchen had me closer to my speakers with a wall behind my head. Despite much higher ceilings in the Southwest style this was a sonic constraint. Without having changed any gear these is more space in the room and the sound of music reproduction, which I am finding delightful. And I have yet to really dial in the speakers through toe-in and such. I am happy for the move despite the work because my system already sounds better!
And as an added bonus I got myself a decent view, for those who recognize the Flatirons above Boulder. This was taken from the LR window the first morning in my new abode.
The Jesse Cook Frontiers and Blue Guitar Sessions albums both disappeared. They are no longer searchable and not playable from a playlist. Almost all other albums are still there. Being Canadian I can't imagine why it would be region locked and only those 2 albums. Those that are missing are also still available on Amazon. I have run into this with a few other artists but don't recall who at the moment.
If I like an album I buy it and put it on my server. Then I am free from the legalities of the music industry, and country boarders.
Funny thing is, many years ago I heard about a Mike Oldfield album. that was only available in Europe. So I got a Qobuz account and used a private browser and set my VPN to France. I was able to buy it. The was years before Qobuz was a streaming service. Many years later I tried to sign up for Qobuz streaming , and it said I already had an account. I did not remember Qobuz until open my old account that it listed the album I bought many years ago.
Because of thoroughly enjoying my Midgard setup and travel, I haven't spent much time with my speaker system anchored by the OG Gungnir, Freya N with RCA clear-top tubes, and Lokius. It must be at least 7 or more weeks since I've listened to music with that stack. The past 2+ weeks finally caught up to me last evening and I crashed on the couch facing the mid-tower speakers and such. Having little brain to work with, I selected the "Jazz Currents" playlist on Apple Music because I knew I'd find some interesting new music among the latest releases. Well. The realism and clarity of the music quickly washed over and surrounded me and it didn't take long for full relaxation mode to kick in as I got lost in the excellent musicianship flowing out of the speakers. Sure, 2 of the components have been long-retired by Schiit, with the OG Gungnir's design well over a decade old and since been supplanted by v2, but that is irrelevant to just how good the music sounds. For at least that evening, nervosa was pushed aside for sheer musical enjoyment.
The Asgard 3 is sitting in that stack unused, so I'll have to find a spot for it somewhere or put it away for a while. The upstairs headphone stack already has 3 headphone amps to choose from, so there's no place for it there for now. I may eventually swap one of them out for the Asgard. It's a shame, really, because it's my first Schiit component and is an excellent little amp.

Yes, but the delay is only when switching bitrates (44.1k to 96k for example) or depths. This really rarely happens in albums, so normal gapless playback is NOT affected (I have just a couple compilations/special editions that have varying rates, but those usually switch one time, for example when the special edition live recording portion of the album starts).
