Fascinating. I wonder why the switch is slower on yggy. Such an odd little quirk

Yeah I have/had modi, modius and bifrost and never this issue. I guess I shouldn’t have skipped gungir in the lineup lol.

About hotness (aside from looks), the VH3 sure gets toasty, and quick too. Roughly the same temps as its bigger brother, I’d say, but it seems to get there quicker. I think some risers for the tubes for the VH3 are in order as they sit deeper down. That might alleviate the temps a bit.

Having had both on this evening has heated up my listening nook by something like 3 degrees (C) now over the course of as many hours, yikes!

I've been wondering that about the concerns with the VH3 (and tube equioment generally) getting hot. Tubes do get hot as you say, and I'm sure that the thermal management is well covered in the design and the heat is exepcted.

Are the heat concerns regarding equipment longevity or health/safety (eg... getting burnt)? Genuinely curious...

Granted I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but that makes no sense at all (to me) unless there is clipping or artifacts with the dynamically compressed music that is outside of their ability to perceive/hear that damages their hearing.

Either way -- I ain't a guinea pig and don't even come close to 102dB when listening so I ain't gonna loose any sleep over it.

Moving war story.... We closed on a Friday. Spent the whole week getting completely moved in. Painted like 4 or 5 rooms. Sunday night before we went back to work friends who live close brought over a bottle of tequila and mixing for real Margaritas, fresh limes the whole thing. We fired up the new grill. Had a cookout, and 3 of us downed a bottle and a half of tequila as margaritas (my one friend only drinks beer). Only one of us made it to work on Monday.

Now 18 years later we have a 17 year old and a 14 year old. My buddy and his wife have 3 girls, 14, 12 and 10. AND we haven't had a Margarita party since.

Have you tried their Super Texan (their Sangiovese-forward blend)? Fabulous… their 2016 Blanco Brio is also amazing… still have bottles of both in the cellar that I brought BACK from Hill Country (alas, only now 4 bottles out of several cases). True story about Flat Creek: when my eldest son (the now SWA pilot) turned 21, he wanted to go to their restaurant to celebrate. So we did. Good meal (memorable as good at this point, not to the point of specifics #life). The owner had an awesome Corgi, much friendliness ensued… got my wife’s “we need a dog after boys move out after this Covid Pandemiconium wears out”… fortunately, she remembered the size of said Corgi.

As far as moving: Yeah, I did Mass to Texas in 2018… I did Texas (back-ish?) to NH in 2022. In insight “good timing”; in reality? Never again. Nope. Not happening.

Congrats; it is beautiful country and a wonderful place (still), enjoy it! And thanks for you and your entire company’s efforts, they are appreciated.

PS: anyone notice that things like Beer, Wine, and proper distillates aren’t “streamed” OR “owned”? (I.e. you have to physically own them for a while, and then, you have to rent them, and then they are gone, until repeat)?

Congrats, again, Jason; it’s a lovely area (except for the ever-building traffic). We (while going to a church in Boerne) were looking in Sisterdale area, but, alas; zero connectivity.

102 db is too loud for more than about 30 seconds IMHO.
