Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Woo Audio has a few tube h/p/a which use SS / diode rectification: the discontinued 😒 WA3 (OTL), and a number of amp-DAC units that are currently offered.

Woo Audio WA24 with the upgraded PP3/250 tubes is my favorite of them all :)

I just like sharing my experiences hearing multiple systems all the way to the highest summit. Having a tweaked out MIB setup myself (2x DDCs, decent power cords such as SRA Signature Amp power cord for MIB, Audiophile Network Switch and Network Acoustics eno2 streaming system, Diretta Protocol on a SOtM sMS-200 OG streamer with Ultracap LPS-1, some Schiit Cigarettes(TM) for Saga OG), I can confidently say MIB’s signature is still the overall foundation of the sound with every component it’s attached to just enhances all the good aspects of MIB

Is a Schiit Cigarette(TM) like a Cardas Blunt?

Printed Circuit Board of course.

Polychlorinated Biphenyls are not good for you

* and they are definitely NOT inside a FB dongle
** and I doubt eating a circuit board is good either
And the joke failed. :xf_rolleyes:

The original comment was regarding the forkbeard being in the box as a bonus similar to how another company puts candy in their boxes.

In other news. Enjoying the rest of my morning coffee iced using beans from Old City Coffee. :yum:

It functions like that but is an actual cleaner/sound enhancer :snake:

  • NCF Clear Line-RCA (NCF center pin multi-material hybrid structure). A one-piece center conductor made of Alpha OCC with rhodium plating and injected with Furutech’s special antistatic damping material ‘NCF’. NCF features a special crystalline material that has two ‘active’ properties. First, it generates negative ions that eliminate static. Second, it converts thermal energy into far infrared. Furutech combines this remarkable material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for their additional ‘piezoelectric effect’ damping properties.

Can’t really put too much cigars cause the effect would be too strong hehe

Oh great, more things to obsess over in my audio chain. 🤪

Maybe I will give it some thought next year, but I would rather spend my money on other gear/headphones at the moment.

I have the XLR too hehe, but didn't like it much on the MIB with my current upstream sources. However, if I have a slightly intimate sounding source and would want to enhance a bit of soundstage, those Furutech XLR cigars will do some magic for that :)

Understood, I should hold off purchasing a pair until "T-Urd" releases. :L3000:

Can we please keep this absolute snake oil out of my thread?

This is not a place for nervosa. I'd appreciate it if discussions of tweaks/accessories/magick&witchcraft be kept to a minimum.

And it's made by Mullard.
They also built the Amperex tubes I am using apparently.🤪

“Yes, Mullard built Bugle Boy tubes. Mullard, a British company that was later acquired by Philips, produced the Bugle Boy 5AR4 (GZ34) rectifier tubes at its Blackburn factory.”

Mullard was acquired by Philips which is also the parent company for Amperex.
Thus my choice in rectifiers may not be too shabby.🙄

“ Tung-Sol rectifier tubes are currently manufactured in Russia by the factory known as Xpo-Pul (or Reflektor) in Saratov, under the ownership of New Sensor Corporation. The Tung-Sol brand itself has been acquired by New Sensor, an American corporation, and this factory is now producing Tung-Sol tubes. ”

And with Tung Sol being made by Reflektor, perhaps they are decent as well.
