Check Valhalla 3's specs page. Most questions can usually quickly be answered by our website.

Sweet...and now I feel like a Schiit Axx!!! LOL!
(I often tell folks to look at the manual for answers...)
:>)

Seeing how there is no spec for 32 ohms without the multiplier on tells me what I want to know.
Seeing how there is no spec for 300 ohms with the impedance multiplier on tells me what I want to know.

Thanks for waking my mind up this AM!!
More Coffee....

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Anyone been to the current Metallica tour? Going with my son over Memorial Day weekend in Philly.
A buddy at work saw them Wednesday night at Virginia Tech. A straight 2 hour show. He said Metallica was great. They used a round stage with 4 drum sets. Lars would periodically change from set to set, so all members of the audience could see him play. Hope you and your son have an awesome time...! 🤓

I've seen them quite a few times over the years, they always put on an amazing show, enjoy! The insane increase in the price of concert tickets combined with the proliferation of scalpers has completely turned me off of going to concerts. Luckily I've seen all the bands I really want to multiple times. Barring a couple bucket list items if they come up like Dream Theater doing Red Rocks, I retired going to concerts a few years ago.

We are really far away and it was expensive.
He just turned 17 and it's his first concert.

I try to do about 1 show per year, but price keeps me away from many shows. I remember waiting in line at the mall in the 80 for like $25 floor seats. When I see $400 each for seats I just shake my head.

Kind of like reading all the problems in the auto market. CEOs figuring out why cars aren't selling. I'd love to sit down with one and be like: Cars are like 35% more expensive than before COVID. AND loan rates are up. Is your lack of sales really a confusion? And no I don't want a 7 year loan on my car.

I heard that was an incredible performance! I was first confused when hearing this because my reaction was like....VT? They don't have anything nearly big enough to accommodate them.... then there is Lane Stadium and makes total sense. For the years I was there it was always small intimate venues on campus or around blacksburg, and having to go to roanoke for bigger shows.

@Brubacca hope you and your son have a great time at Philly!

Nice! Philly is a foodie's town so hope you get to enjoy some of that. A place my youngest and I go is an Italian "bodega" style pizza place "behind" the Academy of the Arts. Better than the IHOP on the other side

I've mentioned this before, anyone in Philly around their birthday must go to Victor's Cafe. Nothing like having 10-20 world class vocalists singing Happy Birthday to you. Brought tears to my eyes.

I'll look up Victor's. I don't generally get into the city unless I can take septa in and out.

Concert is actually 2 nights. Friday and Sunday night of memorial Day weekend.

Reading a review, the "starkness" of an amplifier was mentioned. I've experienced that and so now I'm curious.

Not wanting anything to do with tubes, yet on the other hand wanting to tame some of the above "starkness", would inserting something like a Vali 3 with LISST sweeten up the sound in a good way? Am I facing a can of worms here? Are LISSTs even available anymore?

@Brubacca , I don't go into the city much. Mostly to go to the Franklin Institute (it has its own parking and is one block from the Sure-kill Highway exit) and the Academy of the Arts, when my youngest "forces" me to take them to the opera. Lately, they've been taking the SEPTA in themselves to go so maybe not even then, anymore.

Getting to the stadiums (76ers, Eagles, Philly) always confuses the heck out of me, easy tho it appears on paper.

I grew up in Bucks county. So over to wood Haven road then down 95 to the stadiums. Live in western Chester county now so it's quite painful to get to the stadiums, 30 to 202 to 76.

I lived in South Jersey for a couple years. Boy downtown was so easy. Even the stadiums. Took me like 20 minutes to get home from a Flyers game. Those were the days.

I would love to get more involved with the cultural scene in Philly. The orchestra, the plays it's just so expensive and a complete nightmare. My wife got us Orchestra tickets once and the traffic was so bad we missed the start. My fault for not leaving super early. I just didn't know.

My daughter has been asking to go to the art museum, which is on the list. Volleyball season is almost over for her and our First robotics season is wrapped up for her brother. We are starting to actually have time to do a few things.

Just wrapping up a weekend of Jazz on the Vine in Elkhart Lake, WI.

The music was fantastic and well mixed. The artists all were fantastic and there is nothing like live shows. So much more energetic and dynamic than the studio albums. With the music wrapping itself around you, this is what audio reproduction is about. Made me think about my systems with the various Schiit components and how they have improved my systems

@Jason Stoddard and team keep up the fantastic work!

Hello yeah!!! One of my favourite albums...

Recently I've been leaning into the Procession album. Don't know why...

So, a while back, we’d reached a point where we’d maxed out our vinyl storage and the number of components on the piece of furniture we used was starting to make me twitch (I like clean lines and am not into cluttered surfaces).

Like many, our main set-up is not in a dedicated listening room, but rather in our open concept living/dining/kitchen area.

We live in a mid century ranch, and we lean towards classic MCM or contemporary design with clean lines. We are space constrained, and the scale of the house doesn’t work with big furniture. We also wanted something built better than IKEA (no slander on IKEA. Just wanted something nicer.

An audio rack was out of the question for aesthetic reasons. A classic Eames Storage Unit in various configuration was an option, but would require adding speaker stands that would be wonky in the space, and not give as much vinyl storage as I wanted.

I looked at various custom and Etsy solutions (and stalked some antique/vintage shops) but didn’t really find anything that was perfect. Almost pulled the trigger on some very cool looking stuff from this Etsy shop and he was willing to do some custom work built around the modular nature of his system, but we couldn’t make the specs work with the available space.

Then I stumbled on Simple Wood Goods and designed a modular system with their components.

Been living with it for six months now. Looks great with our existing furniture, cleared a lot of my clutter nervosa, and is solid as hell.

I didn’t want colorful doors on the record cubes (though it did have a certain ESU callback I like), so bought unfinished wood and stained it myself.

All-in-all, a very good purchase that solved some problems, fits well with our tastes and feels like it will last a long time.

They were also great to work with.
