The studio series domes just drop in... Did it multiple times for clients.
Gotcha, I have various kinds. I did not catch the brand since after yesterday I used “ignore”.

One of these years, I'll have to get around to watching the "prequel" show. I think it's called Secret Agent.
That, and buying a Morgan.

This is regarding the TV The Prisoner, staring Patrick McGoohan. Prior to the Prisoner he stared in a show call Secret Agent. Prior to that he stared in a show called Danger Man, playing pretty much the same character. I recommend checking out the interesting, to me, Wikipedia entry for him.

Listening to Sabbath’s War Pigs from Roon into HQPlayer into Bifrost 2 into Jotunheim (1) into HiFiMan He6se (v1). Yum. So damn organic & snappy & thump.

Finnegan’s Wake is difficult enough, getting into Ulysses a whole other matter. 🤪
@jonathan c is well read, I have a feeling he has read both.😜
In college my best friend was an English Lit major. He promoted my vague thought of reading Ulysses into a reality.
My friend loaned me his copy of The Bloomsday Book, A Guide Through Ulysses
By Harry Blamires
Very helpful. A newer edition called The New Bloomsday Book... sounds even better.

Lately I feel a need to read Finnegan's Wake. Can anyone suggest a guide that?

From Ulysses, page 689. If you read this far you understand it. Most of the rest is much less opaque.

“Womb? Weary?
He rests. He has travelled.

With?
Sinbad the Sailor and Tinbad the Tailor and Jinbad the Jailer and Whinbad the Whaler and Ninbad the Nailer and Finbad the Failer and Binbad the Bailer and Pinbad the Pailer and Minbad the Mailer and Hinbad the Hailer and Rinbad the Railer and Dinbad the Kailer and Vinbad the Quailer and Linbad the Yailer and Xinbad the Phthailer.”

When?

Going to dark bed there was a square round Sinbad the Sailer roc's auk's eggin the night of the bed of all the auks of the roc's of Darkinbad the Brightdayler.

Where?

Lots of rumors about McGoohan dropping acid during the filming. It was the first mini-series in TV history. Along with the Avengers (Emma Peel episodes only), The Prisoner, and Monty Python and Faulty Towers all were high on my list then, and have stood the test of time.

Peggy Lee - the inspiration for "Miss Piggy" - "Is That All There Is?" is one of those songs - after you hear it, there isn't much to say.

Maybe the vinyl hivemind has some ideas, but I've found it's a bit tough to find a light, affordable wood headshell from U.S. sellers. The below is available for cheap, and are light if you remove the weight, but invariably the azimuth is off by quite a bit:

I ended up sending away to Japan for a Yamamoto HS-3. 1st seller flaked. Trying another seller now.

So I took out the tweeter. It measures at 5Ohms (so not shorted out). I’ve swapped channels, and it stays with the speaker/tweeter. It is totally the tweeter. I erred, I got these speakers closer to 2000, so they are 25 years old. I have 4 of them, plus a center channel. Right now two are in my office, and the other two in the TV Audio system. They are quite excellent sounding speakers even by today’s standards. So totally worth trying to fix. Looks like there are multiple choices for replacements (used), factory no longer stocks them. I figure for $70 or so it’s probably worth the crap-shoot that is the bay…

Amazing how fast it went from “what is that buzzy high frequency” to “this is now terrible”… literally the course of an hour or so…
Change the two tweeters in the pair, so they match, unless you can get the original equipment.

Your description and follow ups sounds like the voice coil has partially separated from the dome, or become partially delaminated. I had a similar experience on some Tannoy HPD385s. Interestingly it wasn't audible on all tracks, but once it was audible, it was awful. Got two new compression domes, fixed it immediately!

Yeah, it took me all of two minutes to take it out. I will take the other (working) one out and swap today to see if problem follows tweeter unit, or not, which of course will be telling.

I’ll contact Paradigm, but am not sanguine, the webs have it that it’s been out of production for a while now, alas. But perhaps they can suggest an alternative that I can do in both speakers (?) shall find out. I’ve zero desire to spend any significant coin on speakers for my office. Who knows, maybe I can go crazy and setup a double-stack of Minimus 7’s in conjunction with the Paradigm sub…?

If you change out the speakers will you have to "adjust" any cross-over ???

Well you would certainly have to try it out if I build a sample. 🤪

That model is going for $17.38 each on EBay, Yamamoto is a whole other story. I have the less expensive one on the way just to check it out.

I do own boxwood, white and black limba, they would be suitable and some oh the Yamamotos have finger lifts that are attached with screws. Cutting the slits would be the toughest part, the Japanese are incredible at such things. Maybe a Dremel tool and a jig would be the way to go.🤔 If I can visualize all the steps then I can build it. There would have to be enough interest from others to set up to build say 25 or more since initial setup could take a few days.

And for @tin-ear, friends have said this is good.
