I know this is a rather old thread, but I am thinking of purchasing the DT880 and Asgard, are there any more recent opinions on the combo?

IMHO, I'm big on the DT880/600 ohm and the La Figaro 336C.
Gotta replace the stock tubes with soem nice NOS tubes, though.
If you like Schitt, ask around about the DT880/600 ohm and Lyr combo.
A few folks seem to "dig it".
In addition, the Lyr would probably be more versatile.
