Cool! But wouldn't this mod made the wheel a bit hard to use?
The wheel is one of iPod attraction to me!

Wow, I've read his discription:
"I ended up shaving the clickwheel to only a couple millimetres thick, and the ipod's sensor picks up the signal no worries."
Great man...... shaving it to a couple millimetres.........

very nice woodwork, but it seems he does not care for audio quality as he is still using the stock ibuds. very impractical and would be terribly fragile. I wonder if the laptop in the picture is his next victim

Good observation about the buds, but he compensated for that with aged Italian spruce he used for the internal ciircuit board that he made sure had the "Tap Tone" he was looking for before closing things back up, The buds are actually not electrical connections but acoustical ports.
