The recording of the 6th is 3 cds and includes the 9th. The price becomes a little more palatable considering that.

I finally broke down and got the 3rd. Was it worth it? Big yes. The sacd remastered recording finally does justice to Bernstein's vision. The recording gives us an accurate sonic picture of what the NYP sounded like in those days. A real historical musical document. I don't know about getting the whole NYP cycle though as that could get very expensive at import pricing.
