I've just acquired the Burson amp and I have the wonderful HD800s but now I need a nice SACD deck. I'll pay up to US$1500 or more if you can persuade me.

Have a look at the OPPO BDP-95. I have one in my big speaker setup and I find it an excellent SACD player. I have the Burson as well but I've never used the 2 together. The oppo has a pretty good dac of it's own which you could input into the RCA inputs of the Burson as well.

Actually, I am considering an Oppo-BDP-95 and BDP-93. They say if you are only using HDMI then the BDP-93 will do and at US450, its half the price. If not the analog audio of the 95 is far superior. I'm in China and Oppo don't freight here so I'll have to find a retailer or have it delivered to an Australian address. Thanks for your advice.

The availablility of the Sony SCD-XA5400ES (UPC: 027242737075) is a question which cannot easily be answered by yes or no. It was never widely available, and is not officially out of production.
