Another option would be the senns hd212, i here those are all about bass also.

Are these k518's (on the above mentioned website) fakes? Or are they the real thing? If so (real), I just might get a pair...

Hi guys,

I need what is stated above. It's for a person that tore apart and destroyed an AKG K81DJ in less than 14 months... so extra durability would be nice... if possible at all. Budget is anywhere from $1 - $80. Cheaper is better though, he doesn't care too much about refined music quality. His source will be a Dell laptop with integrated audio O_O

I still read on and off here, but I don't have all the options at my disposal, here is what I currently have in mind:

- another AKG K81DJ
- Panasonic RPHTX7
- JVC Marshmallows
- anything else?

Any more to add onto the list? Closed, rugged, bassy please! Thanks!

JVC HA-RX700s or HA-RX900s

just buy like 5-8 pairs of HD 201's and keep swapping them out when they break? lol

honestly, this person sounds like they could care less if they're shredding up a pair of headphones + listening at the absolute max volume (neither of which is ever really suggested (or appropriate imho, but who am I to talk))

based on that, you might consider skullcandy, they're made for kids and don't cost much, have tons of bass, etc

another to look at is those sony "NO LEAK" phones on audiocubes

I'd buy the MDR-V6's, sound fantastic for $70 and are really damn durable

Where can you get DT770 pro for less than $80?

I second the 202's Bassy but with a respectable SQ otherwise. I bought a Five Pack on ebay for around 80.00 US about 1 1/2 years ago and they are all still running. and I have little kids around.
At that price you get good disposable sound. beat em up all you want. Besides 14 months is not bad for some cans.

Yes go with the MDR-V6's. Good sound quality (at least for a non-audiophile), great isolation, and almost indestructable. If he can brake those then he shouldn't own anything audio related over $15 imo.
