where did you guys find the review/impression? i couldn't find too many of them. anyway, you guys found it/them right. as a 010 user, i think i prefer 010 but not by far. 030 to me does lack the some sort of musical/rudistor sound that i love. 030does sound more transparent, more detail. cleaner sound.

'listening to my 010B now with my Hifiman HE500s (Billy Joel Turnstiles sacd).
So sophisticated, solid bass impact, perfectly formed mids, nice silky highs, no weird affects at all, all so musical. What a great amp.

Sub'd.
I am currently looking for a TOTL SS amp to use with my TH900's and (future) HD800's. If anyone could offer a comparison between the Rudi and the Luxman P1u, GS-X Mk2 or ECP L-2 (i know it has tubes) it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think the Rudistor (the pre-030 model) is a very nice match for Hifiman HE500s and Fostex TH900s.
I had the Luxman for a few weeks and thought it didn't project the mids nicely like the Rudi does.

The Rudi projects the mids/vocals/percussion nicely but in a refined way, so it doesn't get fatiguing, like it's pushing them beyond the plane of the musical presentation.
When I had bass-light R10s sometime back, this capability of the Rudistor made it the best match for them, and was in fact the only amp I could use for them.
