Has anyone heard of any place in Bangalore that rents out audio gear ( DACs  DAPs AMPs etc) ? I've received a lot of suggestions but I feel the need to try them out myself before I buy them.

No, i don't think there is any place where you can rent DAP/DAC/AMp on rent. At least i am not aware off.

Exactly, the inner entrepreneur in me was tingling.
 
Building the Crack was so much fun that I almost feel bad now that it's all done. Would love to build another one with extra care and hindsight now. I highly recommend everyone here (with a high impedance headphone like Senns and Beyers) to build one. It's a STEAL at $199! Sounds heavenly with the HD700s.

@kartk I have 3 OTL amps - the BH Crack with Speedball, the ZD propotype and the ZD Super (last 2 are Eddie Current amps). They are a perfect match for the Senns. The Crack is best suited for the HD 600 and 650 and the ZD Super for the HD 600, 650 and 800. I hated the HD 700 compared to the previous 3. Obviously, IMO and all that. I also had the Vali 1 which I subsequently sold.
