I have had my DT770's for a little over a week and am getting ready to buy a DAC/Amp. I'm thinking about the Zero with the Moon HDAM.

What DAC/Amps do you guys use with your 770/80, and do you experience a lot of sibilance with your rig? How much better do your headphones sound with your set-up and/or mods? Straight from my MacBook Pro I get a lot of sibilance, and it is starting to drive me crazy.

I don't do stock dt770/80............since I mostly play music I stick to Darths (stock is great for gaming only). Anyway, use the Jan Meier Prehead MkII and HA-2 MkII, plus a Blue Circle SBH. Whereas Skylab has gone to tubes for everything - I prefer SS for Darth variations, and tubes for almost all else. Re dac - the ESI Juli@ board is easily more than adequate and if you shop well will cost aprox $129 (think I saw one on H.Fi F.S. pages a week or so ago. Dac? I also use a couple of Pico dac's.
Sorry, this is a sibilance-free zone.
edit: MacBook - using Darth via simply a P51 Mustang. If using a Grado - go with Pico amp/dac.
