Thank you for the answers, yes I don't use PC as my main source and it has only coaxial / optical output. I think I'm gonna stick with it for a while since I'm quite comfortable with how it's sounded right now

@szlumi I confirm. I had number of cd transports connected via coax for last 2 years. Currently it is Audiolab 6000CDT and nothing is missing in terms of SQ. The drawback for WLS owners is that it is not really supported input but it is perfect for CD transport for example. One day I really need to spend more time evaluating optical input. For me, coax sounds best.
Anyone interested in selling me their Wavelight? Feel free to PM
Hi all, my Wavelight arrives tomorrow and I'm thinking of fuse rolling it. Just wanted to verify that it uses a 5x20 6.3a slo-blo fuse for 120v/US?
Thanks

Not sure what fuse it uses, but I can say that changing the fuse *should* make a big difference. Also, search this thread, there's talk about modding the board to get even more performance out of the unit (wire mod, I think?)Hi all, my Wavelight arrives tomorrow and I'm thinking of fuse rolling it. @Aeonyx I'd suggest you listen to the WL and see how you like it with the stock fuse. I've owned my WL for a year now - with little desire or thought to change the fuse.
I roll SR Purple fuses in nearly all of my AMPs for context. Just another opinion, FWIW.

Just got this absolutely gorgeous brick of aluminum setup about three hours ago. My first impression is that I can already tell this will be a very special DAC. The app control is also phenomenal. Very surprised by just how well that works.
Can't wait to hear how it sounds after proper burn in.

The correct response for this time of year is actually:Welcome to the party!

Congrats! it's a lovely dac. it remains one of my favourites ever. I almost traded it for a Lab12 ref1 dac but thankfully I returned to a right state of mind. I have had offers from friends to buy it, but have turned all of them down.

on another note, Nicolae replied to an email stating the usb module is available, however the site to order wasn’t playing nice with PayPal, I’ve asked my dealer to inquire about getting one for me
I had a May L2 here for about 10 days that unfortunately arrived with some dings and scratches on the back left corner. Fortunately the seller is amazing and refunded as it's something that was overlooked, but it pushed me to try a different DAC since May was still fresh in my mind. Worst case I would've just sold and bought another May. I also considered Aqua La Voce S3, Aqua La Scala (used), and Sonnet Pasithea.Welcome to the party!
After just a few hours with Wavelight I can already notice things that it does better than May, such as staging and air between notes.
This article was a big deciding factor for me: https://www.sonusapparatus.com/2022/02/short-high-end-dac-comparison-pt-2/
Specifically the screenshot attached. So far based on what I've heard and what I'm hearing, it appears to be spot on.
Morphues last in almost everything, what a joke...
