But it was justified for me, being that the 3rd gen 20 gig iPod at the time was $400.

I don't know _how_ they expect the Chroma to sell @ $300 or so if the Karma is priced this low. All it has on the Karma is a slimmer design and a color screen, I think. Gapless, FLAC, Vorbis, Rio DJ, and a parametric EQ at this price is priceless.

ubid.com is auctioning off refurb karmas right now with a couple of days still to go. Since there are more than 400 of them they should end up at a good price.

I do, and it can be summed up in one word: style.

As dearly as we all love the Karma for its beautiful sound, it is one ugly-ass DAP. Say what you will, but for some people, style is as important as function, if not more important. Naturally, the Chroma's not going to sell well here (or at alll, probably

), but it's not aimed at us. It's aimed at more style-conscious consumers who don't want an iPod.
