Was wondering what you guys thought about this model player. There is a crazy deal going at staples now where you can get 2 of them for around 40 each. At that price it might be worth taking a shot on.

Which Forge? 128 MB, 256 MB, or 512 MB? Either way, it's an excellent deal. And if it's above 128 MB, all the better!

Either way - that's an _insane_ deal. If the forge is any good a flash player as my Karma is a HD player, I'd go for it!

I don't think that quality problems are as bad as many make them out to be, but you CANNOT go wrong for $40 each. Get them right NOW.

Nice. I especially like the part about the pinto. I think Im going to go for it. At this price its hard to pass up. I mean I can get a 1GB SD card for around $60 and then Ill have a 1.128GB player for $100. Can't go wrong with that.

Uhh, pinto?

They sort of invented the flash player, so I doubt they're deserving of the pinto class title.

clarkkent333, would you mind sharing the details of the special at Staples? Is it in store or web-only? I pulled up the 128 MB Rio Forge on Staples website, and it is $140 minus a $20 rebate (for one).

I have had a 256Mb Forge for about a month and a half and have not had any problems with it. I do not use the FM radio so I cannot comment on that, I have heard that the reception is not very good.
