Probably for the SQ comparison

The build quality would be like comparing a smart car to a tank

Between the RHA T20 and T10 for these types of genres which would should I buy?
I listen only to hardstyle, edm and trance.

Here are links to some songs

Hardstyle - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8pjY1hngDQ (skip to 0:40 listen till at least 1:30) and https://youtu.be/EUNsJzoLVxY (skip to 01:00)
Trance - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orz5K-AQdDk
EDM - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF0jxR2z-3Q
Let me know how they sound on the T10s with bass and if you would recommend the T10s or the T20s over them. I really only listen to this 3 genres, nothing else.

just for future reference, if you quote my post, it will send a message to inbox, so i will see it the next time i check my mailbox.
luckily i still have my borrowed unit of the t10is, so i'll give it a shot

Using the reference filter on the T10i:

Now i never listened to this songs before so of course i'm not as familiar as you. And i only listened to these songs once through (so this is very rough... very rough impressions)

for the first two song: the treble i find metallic, with a sort of graininess to it. theres not too much bass in this song. so it doesn't really bring out the defining factors of the t10i

the track you titled as trance- i think is more in line with what the t10i is intended for, bass has a driving force to it. i hear some blurring in between beats, its a bit slow sounding.

and just for fun i slapped on the bass filter for the track you titled :

for the trance- this was a better match for the t10i > the tracks you titled hardcore style

for the edm:

was it fun to listen to? yea, but i felt it was too confined, with the synths losing the crispness, making it dull. the bass i found was very prominent "wooly" even.

just for a track i'm more familiar which i think is closer to the genre the t10i is made for:

with the reference filter- both the girls sound very thin, which i think hurts the depth in their voices. but the bass is is quite addicting to listen to, i will admit

switching over to the bass filter, the air that was there in the beginning in the song is robbed and it pushes the girls farther into the background (in a word i would say buried) , shifting the focus more on the driving beat throughout the song.

another example of a good song i think would suit the intended usage for the t10i(with the bass filter)  is here:

interestingly enough, the more detailed the song, i think thats where the flaws of the t10i becomes a bit more evident. the bass as stated many times takes centre stage, and as a result some of the details gets buried underneath the bass.

that was interesting! but i gotta pack the t10is and ship them back to their rightful owner thanks again @ThickT

@Carlos Martinez - I've heard both and would suggest the T20 for electronic music unless you really like relaxed treble and smooth bass. If you want something with more excitement - faster bass + sparkle up top - get T20.

i agree

the t20 is aggressive but i think in a less brash way... but if bass is your priority, and you like everything else that the t10 has to offer  then i think you would be just as happy with the t10i.

I found T20 bass a bit faster than T10, so my nod goes to the T20. Plus T20 has more sparkle up top. I wasn't a fan of T10. Seemed well suited to classic rock, though...

i'm not sure about the speed of the bass, my audio memory seems rather poor =(

but i did notice the treble to be cleaner and more refined.

yea with the t20 in circulation, i would pick the t20> t10i every time. of course that's just me though.

I agree about audio memory, @Tom22. It was more that I distinctly remember T10's bass being slow compared to other IEM I typically listen to, whereas that didn't jump out at me with the T20.

ooh which ones did you compared them with?

i see why you feel that way about the t10, its definitely slow compared to say the vsonic gr07, and even my brainwavz s5s or my ttpod t1e

@Tom22: In the original T10i thread, I was comparing them to the RHA MA750 and TPEOS Altone200. Others also noted that T10i had slow bass which got bogged down - for instance, during passages with fast kick drums. Instead of distinct hits with the kick drum, the sound was blurred. The pair I had was a tour pair with many hours on them, and I was using the reference and treble filters. Couldn't take the wooly sound of the T10i + bass filter...

Given that I can get the t10i for 85$ cheaper than the t20s (not even the t20i) is it worth justifiable paying the 85$ in your opinion?
Would you?
