Yes, I have experience with aftermarket cable. What's your question? Does it improve sound or are you just wanting a non-mic version? I have used multiple aftermarket cables and I can't hear clarity improvement. I can, however, note a warmer and/or leaner sound based on the cable.

I just want a non mick version, and was wondering if all westone aftermarket cables fit the beta or if it is a specific model.

The Alphas have an obvious (waterproofing) membrane but the Beta which I have just bought does not-anyone have a detailed review comparing the two?

Neither is waterproof, both are water resistant. iPhone remote is not ultra-reliable when it comes to water-resistance, however.

So, the ADV Alpha is known to be kind of bassy. How similar is it Shure SE215 sound-wise?
