Hi, I am unable to properly download any version of 1.0.8 from my mac.  Is there a zip file (like previous versions) instead of a rar?

In the future, you (or anyone) can go to "Search This Thread" at the top of your page and search the newest public firmware version numeric number that is currently posted on questyleaudio.com. You'll then be able to find a post from myself (or others that have linked to my post) of the specific newest public firmware that is located on my Google Drive, unzipped/unrar-ed, as I usually add the firmware to the Google Drive the same day or soon after the firmware is posted publicly.

For the price, the 1MORE Piston Fit is pretty clean sounding with a slightest hint of grain with the QP1R. Very good overall:

I think my beloved QP1R has died on me. I have 35 percent power and when I plug in a headphone into the the QP1R unit it shuts right down. I am recharging it now but I think there might be a short in the jack port. I will have to send it back to be fixed. Err Murphy's law. My unit is almost a year old.
P.s the unit has been charging up for about 2 hours and it seems to be working.

The battery indicator doesn't work correctly on either 1.07 or 1.08.  My unit dies consistently at 44%.  I doubt your unit has a problem.

Good to hear that. I have had mine for a year also and have had no problems with the battery indicator. I have had only one time when it just wouldn't come back on after playing a song and shut off after no activity no matter what I did it wouldn't do anything was going to plug it in and bam just come back on. No problems since.

My second unit is same as first, at beginning all good, now shut down at approx. 40%. Still playing good 9 hours.
I got used to it, at 50% the player has to get charged, it's my personal battery low indicator

Yup anywhere below 30% is a no-go for me.

Didn't have this problem as my QP1R, though I have sold it. Still prefer the warm and musical sound from Calyx M.

Thanks for all your help here Moedawg! I'm having a problem with this update, I've downloaded it and put it put it onto a new exfat 128gb card but when I put it into slot1 of QP1R it tells me "file system not support". Any ideas? I've tried using more than one card, formatted each time with same result.
