Did you have a chance to review a pair of vibes?

No. It is severally overpriced locally so I don't want to break my bank over it.

i think the sound is not so bad. especially if i adjust the EQ, but i believe the discomfort makes me biased the sound quality. Nevertheless i won't buy the s-jays and wait my M1 (for the moment

Excellent review btw, pictures always make it more enjoyable to read.

Jays recently released a handful of their 'archive' headphones (seems to be NOS/damaged packaging stuff?) including the s-Jays. https://jaysheadphones.com/collections/outlet

Am a bit curious about the round SR "siren" BA's from Knowles, never read about them before but digikey still has this style in stock- IIRC the significantly more expensive old Grado and Ortofon IEMs used similar round BA's from a japanese compays.

Don't confuse the MA and the Siren. Siren is bassier and rolls the treble. S-jays was not well regarded for fit as well by some. They have the d-jays for the same price and that would sound closer to the MA signature and is better for overall sound.
