Ha. Not in the obnoxious way. Graphs would be useful in this case to see how much they differ in terms which has more bass, treble, etc.

Enough Gifs for today :|

For those of you that are lucky enough to listen to these SD3`s, I do not believe you will get a better audio experience than this:

Eric Prydz presents Pryda - Shadows (pulsating, huge and clean electronica)

Jaw dropping experience.

Sinth, great review. sounds like another winner? you made me curious.

how would you describe the stage depth, timbre richness and dynamic transients with complex musical passages?
i enjoy 1+2 right now but thinking about perhaps adding one more IEM, problem is TG334 is really way expensive right now and i am curious also about sane priced IEMs like ASG2 or the one you reviewed here. i also like German quality make.

btw, may be i overlooked but what about their cable system, is this Westone or else? and what cable you got with them?

Haha, so you bought the 1+2

? Nice choice. It seems that the upgradingitis is strong in you

. Considering AK120? I know I do.
I'll probably order the StageDiver 2 instead of SD3. It seems that the SD2 is a better choice for a more neutral tone.

Thanks Gintaras. I will answer your comments this evening but the bass is quick. InEar targeted the electronica market and they certainly have hit the spot with the SD3. It will be far too much for some but if the majority of your music falls into this category then you are in for a treat.
Genres outside electronica then it is a little hit and miss, Radiohead`s "In rainbows" album doesn`t sit well with me but James Blunt and Hiromi does. With this in mind I have to stress this does what it says on the tin, the rest is a bonus.
The signature is nothing like anything I have ever heard and if I had a gun to my head I would say....Imagine a modern day grown up IE8. Big, bold, spacious... again on an adult scale.

I asked them what would be the total cost if shipped to the US. I got this response:

I asked them if the introductory price will hold when otojoy start selling. Awaiting reply...

My opinion,
These have smashed the door down at the universal pub, kicked over some tables and grabbed the barman by the throat. I didn`t think this was possible.

This is the best thing is have heard in a long time on Headfi.
So SD3 will be better then W4R, and even IE800?
How do they compare?
Many thanks. Can we use Shure black olives?

Thanks musicday, first thing that came into my mad mind.

Regarding your last question, here is an image with the Westone/Shure grey silicone which I squeezed on.

No you will not get an "olive" on though due to the rigid core. If you do want to use foam, the T400 series fit but unsure what the true series number would be, maybe T500?

Never heard the IE800.
At this price range there isn`t really better for a normal universal, most can deliver good audio and is really signature/genre related differences.

I listened to Radiohead via my W4 on the way to work this morning and due to the nature of the W4, great mids and pretty intimate soundstage work really well with them whereas the SD3 is too much of "phone", not delicate enough.
This could be the mp3 quality of the album I have. Although it is 320kbps I don`t think this is good enough for the SD3 imo. I mentioned the Little Dragon - Ritual Union album in the review which sounds fantastic on the W4, better than most that I have on my Ipod touch.
With the SD3, it delivers the album with more of a warm feel but due to the added space it is a much better sound experience than with the W4.
I hope that makes some sense. I will say again these are like a home cinema in comparison to the W4 and you may not like how the sound is delivered but there has to be a compromise to allow you to have a big space filling sound?

Pretty much why I think in a nightclub, you are not after pure audio, you want big full thumping heaven that just sounds good. If you would rather go to a classical concert then that is your choice, I may even join you on a night off

Edit: Once you get used to the signature and delivery these can be subtle with great impact. One surprise after another.
