Unfortunately for me, I can't find a review of a Darthbeyer V3 compared to a DT990 2005 version... Can anyone help me here?

That may be a strech on here. Are you sure you want something with that much bass (I stress this point), as the Darthbeyer's are apparently like strapping two subwoffers to your head.

ty very muchos ^^
I like bass....REALLY like it.
Problem I've found with my DT770 2005 is that it couldn't produce the highs and mids correctly.
What I try to say is that the bass blew my mids and trebs away.
thats cool for Electro music ( some ) but not for other.
I want other genres to play the mids and highs too.

btw ty for quick reply

Darths are okay for most music, but music recorded with very heavy (excessive) bass will be "too much bass". Otherwise, they are okay.

For that kind of excessive-bass music, use a different headphone.

The 2005 250 ohm DT990 gives decent bass and the mids and highs are also quite good, to my ears, anyway.

The more expensive DEEP-CUP Darths have the deepest, best bass, AND the best mids and highs of all the Darths -- that is why people pay so much money for them, as soon as they appear on the Headphile deals page -- they are the BEST, but $$$$.

For the too bass-heavy recordings - that is when I use Alessandro MS Pro (w/flats), or Joe Grado HP-2.

mmm So it seems I need 2 diff. headphones...
Costly ( for me :p )...

I guess I'll buy a DT990 and then lateron darth a DT770pro 80.
Sounds like a plan, doesn't it? ^^

Money money money...
