For me, the LCD3 leaves the O2 with the 007t in the dust, both in sound quality & comfort. I may stop buying headphones for good with the LCD3 & LCD2s Rev2s I have.

Behind the circular sheet of thin felt, there's a pretty thick layer of fuzzy stuff over the driver. I'm tempted to experiment, but I need to find a suitable replacement material in case I need to go back. The fuzzy stuff appears to be glued around the plate where the driver is mounted.
The LCD3s have more satisfying, resonant bass
Almost same thing. Not flabby or uncontrolled, at least for me, but just muddy, imprecise, and without punch. I much preferred the r2 bass.
Really? I find the bass more controlled than my R2s (which I was able to A-B directly over 2 nights). See what I mean about consensus?
