I'll try to post pics as I go - but I've just cracked open a pair of mildly abused MP's to undo some of the damage done by a previous owner, give them a good cleaning, and restore as much as I can.
Already I see lots of disintegrating foam. I know with cameras I would use denatured alcohol and goo-gone to go to work on it, but that is usually on metal, not plastic. Any tips on how best to clean up the mess?
Also if anyone has tips on the best way to get in and work around the resonators - they are fragile, and I'd rather not take my usual "lets see if they pop out when I do this" method... Other tips and suggestions appreciated.
