Hi,
I'm new to this forum, so I probably lack some knowledge. Any advice or comments are welcome.
I'm looking for new In Ear Monitors. I use them for listening to music mainly.
I currently own original Beats by Dre Tours. Which I guess most of you would discourage me for.
I'm pretty satisfied with the sound quality. However, not for that amount of money, and I still miss something.
Main reason I want new ones, is because the beats will never stay in my ear. Whatever plugs I use, they keep falling out. When I'm laying in bed, listening to music, I constantly have both my hands near my head to constantly press them back in when they become uncomfortable again... Imagine listening to music riding my bike or sitting in the train constantly grabbing towards my ears.
I use my iPhone 5 to play music most of the time, prefering ALAC files (converted from FLAC to ALAC). Sometimes I listen on my computer with a Xonar D2X soundcard also prefering FLAC. Some of the music I listen just isn't available in FLAC unfortunately.
I listen to all kinds of music, but recently preferring some hardstyle/hardcore. I also listen to some composed music, like movie-soundtracks or songs like Conquest of Paradise sometimes.
When looking for new ones, I'm leaning towards some more bass quality. My budget will go from €200 to €400, as long if it's worth it. Note that prices may vary because I have a different currency (I live in the Netherlands).
So far I've been looking at some IEM's like the B&W C5, or maybe even Shure SE535. Am I looking in the right direction?
Any help or suggestion would be great
I hope you can read all this, English is not my main language.
