I had an older Android phone and Bluetooth keyboard lying around, so I decided to repurpose them into a dedicated USB music source running Deezer. A couple pieces of hardboard, some quarter round, and a bit of leftover blue paint and I'm all set.

I use my old iPhone 4 as a music player in the car.

I just bought a $29.00 Tracfone at Dollar General to use as a music player. I bought one a few years ago and it works fine but it had a micro usb port as opposed to a type c port. I couldn't find a dongle dac that was micro usb so I was stuck with the headphone jack on the phone or Bluetooth. It was just 16 GB too so, even though I installed a sd card for music storage, the internal memory ran out of space for apps really quick. The new one is 32 GB with a type c port so it has plenty of space for apps and a 32GB sd card provides plenty of space for music downloads. It's the best $29.00 investment I have made.
