If it's a Sony, I don't think the wireless remote is made anymore. You may have to look for the remote on ebay etc. The remote I have (RM-DM1) works with any of my older Sony's.

You can always call up Sony Parts and Service... you can find the number on their website I guess... but you might wanna try eBay first as Sony's prices for parts are rediculous!

what model is the remote?
a lot of the newer pcdp and md models use the RM-MC11EL/RM-MC10. the 11 is backlit, where the 10 is not.

If it's one of those two, they can be had from either audiocubes (audiocubes.com), or eBay.

it would, however, be extremely helpful to know the model number of your cd player.

The remote model is RM-CD5F, for the Sony D-FJ401 PCDP. I can order it from sony for $36 plus shipping. Does anyone know of another place I could pick one up at? Perhaps second hand.

Oh you mean the one that has a FM receiver on the remote? Now that's rare I think...

Anyone know the model remote that come pack with the European and Japanese D-CJ01? Is it the same with the RM-MC11EL, just without the FOLDER +/- buttons?
