As we all spend more and more time in this hobby, we tend to generate relationships with many industry insiders, they share with us information regarding upcoming products, industry statistics, and general know-how that is otherwise privileged.

Before sharing the things that you know, as exciting as it can be at times remember that it's likely someone's job could be on the line if you break the news early, good or bad. And "in these economic times" losing your job can really, really hurt.

I've been asked to keep it private, if I could share I would - it's rather upsetting. The reminder is the best I can do at the moment.

I was in that situation several times. For the last two~three years I got the chance to demo several new IEM and amp on no-disclose agreements (mostly to provide early feedback, beta testing if you like). While it is great to listen to new gears, it is kind of suck not being able to tell other who share your passion about the excitement
