Here are few piano CD treasures worth exploring:

Bill Evans "You Must Believe in Spring"
Paul Bley "Blues for Red"
Cyrus Chestnut "Earth Stories"
Keith Jarrett " Whisper Not"

Beethoven Complete Piano Sonatas, Alfred Brendel captures the essence of this composer more than any other pianist, great humanity.

Massenet Piano works

Bach Six Partitas Angela Hewitt's versions are so amazingly lyrical.

Beethoven's sonatas.. the hugely overplayed but fantastic appassionata, moonlight and pathetique. If you haven't heard them, you're in for a treat.

Another beautiful piece is Mendelssohn's "Songs Without Words"
(I have Barenboim's recording).

There are a number of Chopin pieces on 'The Pianist' soundtrack.

Bryans
