I've found this offer of refurbished SENNHEISER HD-600. Price is very good but what does "refurbished" really means?
Was it returned to manufacturer as "non working" model?
or somebody bought it and returned to the store?

I'm asking for advise if it's worth to risk it?

Thanks

From what I have read most people say that they could not tell that they had even been used. Also i have not heard anyone having troubles with their refurbished hd600 either. I think they even put new pads on the headphones so if they do you shouldn't have to worry about anything. As for the site itself I don't really know to much about them.

I'm not sure if this is a good price for a refurb pair. I bought a brand new pair from J&R for 200 bux last yr. Maybe this is the best price now, but it's definitely not a "price-mistake-like" price, if you know what I'm talking about.

ehh, not the best price actually... IIRC Amazon had them once for 180 shipped. I would wait around headfi for a used pair, you should be able to score one for around there. Or, get the 580, same can, different look.

i would say, get hd600s if u care about the looks, if not hd580.
hd600s look much more luxurious, compared to hd580s.
but then again, wer listenin to music, not the equipments..

Thanks to all of you for help. I checked sennheiser web and noticed that replacement driver for HD600 is the same as for HD580. What would be possible reason for spending more money for "the same" headphones?
Most likely I'll get a pair of HD-580 brand new for 140$.

Thanks

Finally I got Sennheiser HD 580 for 149.99 and to make my self even more happy I spent additional 225.99 for Beyerdynamic DT880 :). I'll test it and than decide what I preffer more.

Thanks

Good idea. Better than trading phones around trying to decide which one you like best without having the old phones around for comparison. You can either return one or sell it here. May be better off selling it because you won't have to pay a restocking fee.
