Any of you guys know how you can reduce the microphonic noise in the Ety ER-4P?

you can try to...
1) loop the cord around the ear
2) replace the cord to something less microphonic(go to
http://www.fixup.net/tips/ety/ety.htm to get more information on building the cable)
3) if you're using them outdoor i recommend you to put the cord underneath your clothing as well as looping it. Or try to use the collar button and the clip, etc.
4) In office, try to clip it to the back of your collar instead of front
Hope that helps...

Couldn't you wrap the cable with foam or something?

fixup no longer sells the cord. I don't think he has any plans to bring it back in the future.

I would like to replace the cord as well, but I don't know where to get the connector to attach to the phone itself, and I don't want to risk cannabilizing my existing connectors in case it doesn't work out.

The Shure E-2c's suck IMO, but there cord was superior to the Ety's.

Any ideas?
