Red Wine or beer? What do you drink regularly?

I drink more beer than red wine, mostly because I love to hang around bars. At least in the US, it's a lot easier to get a good beer at a bar than good wine.

I love both, though. I was lucky enough to live in Oregon in my early adulthood. The state swims in exceptional microbrews and locally-made pinot noir. I developed a taste for both. :)

In addition to alcohol, a lot of food is locally grown up there. I completely fell in love with the state because the food is fresh and local, and complimented by excellent beer and wine.

Hi Uncle Erick, beer is always associated with bars and wine with food, but in Portugal a lot bars are starting to sell wine in glass.
My home town have a lot of wine producers, here are a few http://www.alorna.pt/DesktopDefault.aspx , http://www.adegaalmeirim.pt/en/home.php , http://www.falua.net/eng/ , http://www.sacasaldoconde.com/EN/index.html , http://www.lagoalva.pt/homeen.aspx , http://www.fiuzabright.pt/gb/pt.php There are more but they don't have web sites...

Yeah...the microbreweries up in the Northwest put out some good stuff.  More and more good wines coming out of areas like the Columbia Valley too.  I tend to drink merlots mostly, but sometimes I get an OK malbec or other red.

For me, I couldn't say if I do red wine or beer more.  During the summer, I tend to drink more beer because I don't usually appreciate red wine as much when it's warm outside, but I still drink red wines occasionally.  The wine also doesn't seem to trigger my gout as much, though I couldn't tell you if that should be true or not.

I used to drink New Castle part of my nightly relaxing-while-watching-a-Starcraft2VOD routine.

Then I switched to Beringer (cabernet sauvignon) to reduce the calories.

Now that I've started to work out 2-3x a week, I have switched to a micellar-casein-based protein drink before I sleep.

Since wine hits me hard for some reason, I drink beer on social events to avoid the risk of getting drunk when not planning to (LOL!).

I drink beer more, but I'd prefer a glass of wine. I'm in college, so beers just more available. Wine is great for little get togethers tho. The gf and I have a bottle or two instead of going out to the bars. Much cheaper too

I like red wine but it gives me heartburn. So, I got into beer and have become a snob.

Portugal sounds wonderful - it is on my "must visit" list. :) It would be great if local bars served more good wines here, but it is much easier to find quality beers.

Wine is more of a family event for me. We frequently get together and bring wine. That's about once a month, so going out for a good beer happens more often.

I rarely drink wine, more often than not it's beer for me. Unfortunately I don't know enough about the different styles of wines and the regions where they come from to enjoy their finer nuances.

lets go to spain ppl !!!

white wine lover here, love that taste=),

I just like the red if they are really good, the problem with the cheap ones is because has like an alcohol taste, with a Rioja for example you can fell the taste of the roble on your tongue, omg so good,  I love red wines, but usually are more expensive.

Put a wine glass with three slices of peach (not too big and small, medium size) wait a few minutes, drink and eat it, maybe you like it,  (you can do it too with red wine and cherrys for example)

beer for me. like UE, wine (or the sparklies) work ONLY for family occasions. i do prefer scotch over both, but getting a bottle of JW Blues hurts more than getting a Stax setup as i'll only be pissing it off, anyway.

Both are great. Beer seems to be the most popular worldwide probably because it is easier to produce. I had one can of beer over the weekend and it was great. I enjoyed wine the most on my trip to Paris. It was the best wine I ever experienced. Red wine is my favorite but some whites are great too.

I like both, but i've been drinking more red wine lately. There's Nothing better than pasta and wine.
