The only way to go digital with a DAP that I know of is the iRiver. There are a few H-120's available on eBay for $199, built in optical output.

I would love to have Vinnie's mod on an iPod but but.... no Gapless... arrrrgghhh.

Hopefully the Rockbox porting project will go well for the iPod. I wish I could code... I'd lend a hand.

As it stands there're really no "Perfect" DAP in my Wolrd.

FLAC, Gapless, Still Produced, Still Supported.

The iRiver H-120 with the Rockbox porting is the closest.

An iMod iPod with Rockbox would be wonderful news.

Hi Guys
does anyone have the imod and SR71 combo?
I'm very close to getting Vinnie to do the Imod but have a little concern about the line out volume thats reported as being low.
My usual volume on the amp is about 2-3oclock so just wondering about the headroom and whether I'd have to have Ray adjust the gain .
