Musicdirect - AUDIOQUEST - CARBON FIBER RECORD BRUSH

and others look like this:

Musicdirect - MOBILE FIDELITY RECORD BRUSH (EA)

Which type is better, and why?

I have and use both types. The Audioquest is a good light brush to get surface dust off an lp while it is spinning without heavily weighing down the motor, whereas the Mobile Fidelity brush is much better for removing deeper dust and also works excellent also as a wet cleaning brush, but it has too much friction to use on a turntable while spinning and is more akward. So I guess I would say the Audioquest is more versatile, but the mobile fidelity works a bit better.

Take a look here, they have both types at significantly cheaper prices and since you are looking to clean your albums they have great sleeves to put them back into as well...

I wash my records when I first get them, then use a carbon fiber brush before and after playing. That has been working well for me so far.
