Hey Everybody,

So I am going to get my ear impressions at the end of this week and am going to have a chance to demo almost the complete JH Audio line to pick out the one that sounds best to my ear and order it. I'm taking along my laptop and portable source and was wondering what are really good recordings to test out IEMs.

I have a wide range of high-quality recordings (no MP3s!) with which I am very familiar and I've selected several that really push both the high and low ends and cover most of the problem areas (pianos, cymbals, timpani, etc.) and this is the bulk of what I will use but since I've got a few days and am looking to get a few new recordings as well, does anyone have any suggestions for really well-recorded albums (from any genre really) to put the IEMs through their paces?

Thanks,

Michael

As always i like to test out new gear with binaural recordings. The ultrasone demo would be a good start here.

And if you really want there are good 24 bit/ 96khz downloads for free here. Its all classical pieces BTW.
