Hey there,

I am shrinking my headphone collection and want to stick with my Audeze LCD-X and Fostex TH900 SB. I like the details and slam that they provide. I like the LCD-X a little more due to it's open design. They are really my endgame. But a hobby is not a hobby if you are not overdoing it I am wondering what the next step would be regarding details, clarity and slam?

The LCD-3F can be kinda analytical. I haven't heard the X so I don't know. It just feels to me like the 3F offers resolution and refinement over my 2Cs. I'm with you on the TH900s, incredible pair of cans that overall are difficult to beat. The 3F is more resolving and a bit austere, I would say they're a step up in refinement over the TH900, but not more fun.
