I went with the Torque T103z for the time being.  They were on sale.  I also found a pair of Monster Turbines...long story.  

Neat. I'll probably sell my Tf10s some other time, since I can just go ahead and buy the T-Peos H-300 now. Or maybe...maybe go for JVC Ha-FX850, which look pretty amazing.

Honestly I loved the hell out of them, but I'm starting to prefer to wear them over the ear instead of like normal earbuds and they just don't fit well when I use em like that. Also, they're pretty sensitive, so when hooked to my fiio e07k, there's audible static.

Entry level Shure's SE215 special edition would be best choice

Quite honestly there are 2 recent hyped IEMs under $60 that would outperform the SE215 with ease. I'm talking about the Havi B3 Pro1 and Ostry KC06. Having listened to all 3 extensively, I find the se215 to be rather artificial when it comes to mids. If you like the se215's signature then the Ostrys more reference sound would suit you, of you'd prefer something with a bigger lower end sound then the Havi is worth a look.

I'll take a look at those as well.  
 
I just received the T103z and so far I'm pretty impressed.  I need to play around with and EQ on my phone to get better sound, but otherwise the reference valve is quite good.

So my one major complaint about the T103z is fit.  The tips they provide really aren't very good.  I have smaller ears and neither the flanged or smallest tip provide a good seal.  Can anyone recommend some replacements that have close to a universal fit?  
 
The valve technology they promote is actually quite good.  There really is a big difference between each valve.  Now if only they provided more valves for the price.

I wound up picking up a pair of astrotec ax35's as well. The reviews I've read have all been positive.
