Hi all,

Tried doing a search, but...

My wife likes to watch TV before she falls asleep, so I am looking for a somewhat smaller TV (maybe up to 20 inches or so). Any recomendations? I would like something <$300 or so, and would still consider CRT (Sony WEGA or something)? However, an LCD or other flat screen would aesthetically probably work better.

IMO, you're in a "you get what you pay for" product/price range, and doubt that anything will stand out drastically superior to the others, so probably your best bet would be to check out as many small TVs as you can in person, and go with what works for you. Flat screen TVs obviously take up less space which may or may not be a priority. Perhaps something with a headphone jack would be helpful for times that one of you wants to watch TV while the other sleeps?

I've got a Sharp 15" LCD TV.
It was on sale at Fry's. $179 maybe? $229??
It's got a sleep timer and wake up timer.
S-video and Component video inputs.
No complaints.
