can the d2000 be recabled? if that's the case, where can i find a list of necessary components for the build? sry if this has been asked b4 but I have been unable to find the answer it via search tool.

All headphones can be recabled and as with all others, you need some cable and a plug

Use the search feature of this forum. You will find many many threads on recabling these cans. I would start with Markl's mod page as there are many good photo's there.

i have tried searching for a dedicated denon d2000 cabling thread but nothing came up. i also searched for cabling faq and etc but nothing useful has come up as well. i did however find the markl modding page but it is too long to read and most of the posts are regarding the d5000 driver mods.
can anyone help me locate the d2000 cabling threads that johnsnad is referring to?

there may not be a specific guide.

study the theory and go from there.

They are the same driver thus the same modding applies. The theory is simple, unsolder the old wires and solder new wires in their respective place. Markl's page is nice as it has photos of these drivers.
