Hi guys,

I've recently got myself a Grado SR80i, it's an awesome headphone! But I don't like the cable and the 3.5 mm jack is way to loose in all my jack sockets. So I got myself a nice neutrik jack. But my question is about the cable, I've got some blue Tasker C280 wire lying around. It's a two wire cable with shielding and an extra bare silver colored  wire in it. Now my question is can I use this cable for a proper recable? Can I use the red cable for right, white for left and the silver wire for ground??

Here are the specs of the cable, just to make clear wath I'm talking about:

I hope you guys can help my out, or come with some good suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

It wouldn't be ideal, but you could use it for the Grados. The silver wire is actually the shield that is spun or woven on top of the twisted pair inside. You would have to use that as a common ground, and then the red for right and left channel.
