I'm sorry but I do not have anything similar in my liberary, from the first three pages of similar artist reccomendations on last fm I know Samiyam, Mono/Poly, TOKiMONSTA, Flying Lotus and mount kimbie. I'd say Mount Kimbie is sort of similar in a strange way, it however is not hiphop, the others are different and given your opinion on emancipator and bsbd i don't think you'll like them.

This is the only thing I find remotely similar because it shares the same laid back vibe, no album recommendations though, their ep's are better (both of them are great.)
As far as instrumental hiphop goes, flying lotus is one of the best artists out there as far as i'm concerned, it's not similar to shlohmo but you might find it to be good. I recon Los Angeles is his best album given it's consistancy. Some disagree and think his more experimental cosmogramma is best, both are good though so it doesn't really matter which one you chose. This song is from Los Angeles by the way.
I don't think samiyam and tokimonsta are good artist, sure they are entertaining but not really cutting edge. Mono poly bears no resemblance to shlohmo whatshowever and I honestly don't know why last.fm lists him as a related artist.
One artist from my liberary that you might like is Clams casino, again I don't have a real album recommendation because I've only heard his Rainforest EP, and think it's solid.
And a last recommendation, something completely different but sort of cool, Cupp Cave:

Although I think this should be renamed to the Hip-Hop appreciation thread

I think that might have been the worst child-related music thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Or up there with "Lip Gloss" and that Mini Daddy song at least.
How come I don't see more love for X? One of if not THE realest rapper that could be considered mainstream.

Oh come on its not that bad, the kid probably doesn't even how bad his lyrics are and I'm guessing its probably written by his parents.

what do yall think of the carter 4
I was....disappointed with the album. It was alright. I'd give it 5.5 or 6/10. My biggest problem with it is the best two songs on the album didn't have Wayne on them. The ***? Wayne wasn't even man enough to hop on the track with Tech. Once he realized he murdered the beat, he let 3 Stacks take the heat. My favorite line was the diss back to Jay-Z though lol that was cold. But yeah, Carter II remains his best work. *shrugs and waits for Cole World*
