Just saw Monster University with one of my classes (end of course outing) and noticed what looked like a vintage tube amp on a shelf in the dorm room early in the movie - somebody in the animation department is clearly an audiophile.

This movie is genius! I knew I'd like it from the first 5 minutes :D

I especially loved the part with Pamela Anderson at the end. Does anyone know if it was scripted or not?

Sacha Baron Cohen rather looks like a Georgian than Kazakhstani in the movie. Kazakhs are mongoloids. I'm wondering if Cohen had watched popular Georgian Soviet movie "Mimino".

"Mimino" is one of the best and most popular Russian-speaking comedies ever made, it's a classic and is still often shown on TV. There certainly is a reason - despite a simple plot it's not primitive at all and is still funny even after the twentieth watching. The only big problem with it is that people who don't speak Russian probably won't understand the humor, as most of it based on the characters grammar mistakes and accents (Georgian and Armenian)."

The World's End (2013): 9/10

Ah. This is the summer action movie I've been waiting for all summer. If you've seen the previous two Cornetto films you already know if you like this one or not--and while it does suffer slightly from a disappointing resolution and the similarity of its material to Sean of the Dead, I'd be tempted to call it the best of the trilogy, or at least, it's Sean's equal. Hilarious, well-acted, and full of heart and even genuine pathos--it's everything that most summer popcorn flicks aren't. And check out that climax man--when was the last time you saw something so Pythonesque (or maybe Douglas Adamsesque would be more appropriate) on the big screen? Loved it.

Speaking of Ben Affleck what is it I hear he is going to replace Bale as Batman

He'll do fine. Can't be much worse than half the past Batmans.

Have you seen Dare Devil?

Haha, should have seen that one coming. Having not seen it with no interest to, I'll blame the writing. :p

Rapture-Palooza (2013)

I give 10/10 just for the ending. 9/10 overall.
Loved the video quality and color tones, also the soundtrack of this movie.
Awesome actors all together.

To be fair, Chistian Bale wasn't exactly a standard to live up to either.

My only beef is that he looks too "nice" to play the role. And the space between his hairline and eyebrows is too large.

You mean Affleck looks too nice and has a ginormous forehead right?
